Organic synthesis and innovative drug development

We are looking for an independent and bright organic chemist for postdoctoral fellowship that is a stepping stone towards a faculty position. The aim is to further drive the work of our group in the area of organic chemistry and asymmetric catalysis, and to apply these to the field of bio-organic chemistry and new drug development.

We are: The Wang Group at Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences is an organic chemistry research group in the Institute of Biomedicine and Biotechnology. Our research program encompasses catalytic enantioselective transformations and their implementation for the synthesis of biologically active molecules.

We offer: a postdoctoral fellowship, which – when successful – will be converted into an independent faculty position. Salary: 300,000-450,000 RMB per year.

Requirements: PhD in Organic Chemistry, and proven qualities as demonstrated by scientific papers. A thorough knowledge of Asymmetric Catalysis or of Synthetic/Medicinal Chemistry are considered a strong plus.
